$The UK\'s Phil Graves rode the fastest cycle leg of the day with 4:48:40$

$Portugal\'s Sergio Marques had moved from 42nd overall after the swim into 9th overall after his 5:10:14 cycle leg. More was to follow$ $Spain\'s Alvaro Velazquez had worked his way through the field after the swim to be in 8th position after 5:07:15 ride, now he needed to hold it together on the run. (3:00:08 marathon for 7th overall)$

$Belgium\'s Diepart Xavier had worked his way through the field into 10th position with his 5:08:11 and would run a 3:01:35 marathon to claim 8th place.$

$France\'s Frederic Schaffner moves to run leg after riding a forceful 5:12:29 into 16th place before fading to 25th overall after a 3:29:57 run$ $Germany\'s Till Schramm, after a solid swim and a 5:17:09 ride, pulled out around 10km into the run.$ $Switzerland\'s Igor Nastic had a solid day in the 30 - 34 age group. After a solid swim for 7th overall, Nastic rode 5:22:22, to slip down to 21st before a 3:00:54 run to grab 10th spot and 1st in his age.$ $Denmark\'s Esben Hovgaard has been \'rumoured\' to be retiring and completed today\'s grueling event in 20th place$

$Michelle Vesterby\'s smooth transitions allowed her to gain further time on her main rival Bella Bayliss, allowing for the Dane to add a further minute from her bike to run transition$ $Michelle Vesterby\'s intent would be to maintain a powerful first half to thwart the challenge of her chief rival.$

$Spain\'s Seleta Castro had made a surprise showing at the front of the Women\'s field with her 54:35 swim followed by a solid 5:45:30 ride to place her 2nd Female after the two disciplines$

$Seleta Castro\'s bike to run transition of 6:27 would drop her from 2nd to 3rd women however with a 3:48:52 to follow she would finish 7th amongst the women. A promising start to her Ironman career with a 10:39:34 debut.$

$Tine Holst on way out during the 1st kilometer of the marathon leg, she would run 3:33:33 on the marathon to move her into 8th female finisher. Tine\'s 5:50:57 ride moved her through the field after the swim.$
