For the first time in Lanzarote Ironman history the participants were greeted with rain at the start. This however couldn’t put a damper on the event considering the swim is the first leg of this gruelling challenge. A fantastic opportunity to watch a world class event right on your door step, which was hosted by CLS (Club La Santa) I could not sleep with excitement and knowing myself what that feels like for the athletes taking part in competitions it’s a right buzz. A well organized event and really enjoyed watching the professional athletes and friends that had taken part in Lanzarote’s first IM 70.3 and with usual weather conditions for here windy and sunny would have made this a tough event.
