IM announces Finland Full Distance

The IRONMAN Group, a Wanda Sports Group company, announced today the addition of the IRONMAN® Finland Kuopio-Tahko triathlon. The inaugural event will take place on August 8, 2020 and becomes the northernmost race in IRONMAN history and the first full-distance IRONMAN triathlon in Finland. Dodet, McElroy claim Tongyeong World Cup titles

Tongyeong, South Korea set the scene for today’s World Cup, in favourable race day conditions with scenic harbour views. Sandra Dodet claimed the gold medal in the elite women’s race, producing a striking run leg to earn the 2019 title. Zaferes takes world title in Lausanne

Katie Zaferes became ITU World Champion on Saturday evening in the Olympic Capital Lausanne, sealing the greatest season of her career with a fifth WTS gold of the year. It all boiled down to another incredible battle with British duo Jessica Learmonth and Georgia Taylor Brown, but it was Zaferes delivering yet another big finish, pulling away from Learmonth down the final 200 metres to drink in the magic of the moment that a hard season had built up to. Tyler Mislawchuk wins Tokyo 2019 Test Event

Japan – It was a day to remember in Tokyo for Tyler Mislawchuk as he took it to the all-new Olympic course in style on Friday morning. The Canadian powered to gold at the Tokyo Olympic Qualification Event, taking a huge step towards booking a place at Tokyo 2020 in the process. It was the Canadian alongside Casper Stornes (NOR) and Hayden Wilde (NZL) out front for the majority of the 10km run, but as Wilde’s challenge faded, it became a two-man surge to the line before Mislawchuk found yet another gear down the chute to secure gold. Duffy returns to podium in Tokyo test

Japan – Thursday morning in Tokyo saw Flora Duffy emerge victorious from a demanding 2019 World Triathlon Olympic Qualification Event in the most unexpected fashion. This was the Bermudians first event back after a year out with injury, and after a bike display that showed she has lost none of her trademark power and rhythm on two wheels, she hung tough on the run so that, after the leaders Jessica Learmonth and Georgia Taylor Brown had taken the tape hand-in-hand ahead of her, their subsequent disqualification for causing a deliberate tie earned Duffy the gold.
